We have had the new Nikon D850 in our rental pool for a few months now, but due to its popularity with customers, I had few opportunities to test the camera out in the field. I finally got the chance to try out the camera over two weekends with no bookings for it, and I was quite surprised with how well the camera performed! It was fast, responsive, and the AF system seemed to be very, very good! We all had to wait a while for Adobe to release the RAW converter, but once I could play with the RAW files in Lightroom, I was quite impressed with the RAW files – even the jpeg files were quite malleable and held a lot of detail…45.7 megapixels of detail, in fact!
