This remote switch, with a 2-ft. cable, replicates all the functions of the camera’s shutter release button. It is compatible with the majority of EOS Rebel bodies as well as many newer mid-range models such as the 60D, 70D etc.
Note that mid-range models from the EOS-50D and back have the N-3 remote connector, and use the RS-80N3 remote instead.
Also note that the RS-60E3 will work as a remote cable for many Fujifilm X-system bodies, as well as Hasselblad H-series bodies.
