Starting this coming Thursday, save BIG, and I mean REALLY BIG, on X-H1 kits or X-H1 kits with XF 16-55mm f/2.8 or XF 8-16mm f/2.8! Despite being “last generation”, the X-H1 is a fantastic camera and still the only X-series camera to have IBIS (in-body image-stabilization). While the new X-T30 and X-T3 might have a few clear benefits when shooting video, there certainly isn’t that much of a difference at all when shooting regular photos with the newer bodies. Despite being slightly larger, I really like the X-H1’s ergonomics and the incredible, silky-smooth and wonderfully muted shutter mechanism, which is by far the nicest of any X-series camera.
All three combinations of the X-H1 that are on sale include the X-H1 body, with all the usual accessories, the VPB battery grip as well as a total of three NP-W126S battery packs, which is the only way one can buy the X-H1 these days. The two extra batteries you get are alone worth $200, so while the new lower X-H1 price of $1,699 was already very good, the sale pricing is truly fantastic! Here are the three available packages…
X-H1 Kit (with VPB battery grip and 3 batteries) – $1,300 (SAVE $400)
X-H1 Kit + XF 8-16mm f/2.8 – $2,990 (SAVE $1,310)
X-H1 Kit + XF 16-55mm f/2.8 – $2,210 (SAVE $1,040)
For your reference, the XF 8-16mm on its own is $2,600 and the XF 16-55mm on its own is $1,550, so factoring in the two extra batteries and overall price, when you buy it with the 8-16mm, its like getting the X-H1 + VPB grip for only $190! Whoa, that’s crazy!!!
Note that this sale is running from August 22nd until September 26th, 2019.
