Beau Photo now has a mirrorless full-frame Nikon Z6 kit available in a “Try Before You Buy” program. This kit is available to you as a free one day loan, if you are interested in possibly buying a Z-series system for yourself. As with our regular rental items, you can also take it for a weekend, picking up either on Friday afternoon or any time Saturday, and then return it Monday morning since that is considered a 1-day. However, it is only available for free once per person, and to ensure it is available when it best suits you, be sure to call ahead and reserve it in advance if there is a shoot you’d like to test it out on…
Although it is a free loan, before you take it away, you will need a credit card, and matching photo ID (passport or driver’s license), and the card will be pre-authorized for $3,000. Once the equipment is returned in good condition, the pre-auth will be cancelled. Note that this must be your own ID and credit card. For example, we will not accept a spouse or other family member’s card, even with the same last name. If you need someone else to leave a credit-card pre-auth, they will need to come in with you when you pick up the system.
Please call (604-734-7771) or email Mike Mander to reserve the loaner system, and not the rental department please!
Here is a list of what you will get when you take out the system…
– Nikon Z6 body with one EN-EL15B battery, charger and Sony 16GB XQD memory card.
– Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S
– Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S
– Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S
– Nikon FTZ Adapter to allow for F-mount Nikkor AF-S and AF-P lenses to be used.
The kit includes a USB-A to USB-C cable to plug the camera into a computer (the camera side is USB-C) and download images from the XQD card.
