I recently purchased, the Tokina 70-210mm F4-5.6 FD lens at an affordable price.
It does not perform the best in low light but perfect in daylight, you just need to open the apeture a bit. I find that shooting at F5.6 and above will get you sharp photos. Colours are natural, nice contrast, so it is also perfect for B/W shots. But most of all it is very easy to use, light, small, and compact. My hands do not feel very shaky when using this lens.
I find the Tokina 70-210mm F4-5.6 lens best performs at F/8-F/11 in the 70-150 range, and I absolutely know there’s no reason to choose a wide open. This lens would be my first choice for a compact tele analog lens. My preferred combination with this lens is F/8 at 70mm and F/11-F/16 at 150-200mm.
We have one available at Beau Photo for $45
