Fort Casey and Dynamic Range

Here are some images taken at Fort Casey on Whidbey Island in WA state back in 2022. Many of the interior shots required a significant shadow boost since they were underexposed to preserve highlight detail from walls illuminated with bare light bulbs or brightly lit exterior detail visible through windows and doorways. Some of the interior shots had some subtle flashlight fill applied during the exposure as well. These images were all taken with a Fujifilm X-Pro2 and the lenses used were the Laowa Zero-D 9mm f/2.8 (always shows f/1.0 but was generally shot at f/5.6 or f/8), the Fujinon XF 14mm f/2.8, XF 18mm f/1.4, XF 23mm f/1.4 and XF 35mm f/1.4.
