To start with…A BRAND NEW 45.7MP Backside Illuminated CMOS Sensor. This beautiful, huge sensor will be able to capture the finest details with the ultimate sharpness and allow for amazing dynamic range at both low and high iso settings.
This also means, 4k video from the full sensor. No cropping at all, no missing those details. Your ultra wide angle stays an ultra wide angle lens! You will also get the high dynamic range at all iso settings, the same as you will with your stills.
Working in extremely sound sensitive situations? The D850 has a new silent shutter mode, where it can capture full resolution RAW files with its electronic shutter, for those situations when you need your camera to be as silent as possible.
Like Nikon’s flagship D5, the new D850 will have the same 153 Point Multi Cam 20K AF system. That means 153 AF points with 99 cross type points that go down to -3EV and a centre point that goes all the way down to -4EV. All the Dynamic and Continuous modes from the D5, and all the capability as well!
