The NiSi Natural Night Filter is designed to filter out specific wavelengths of light that come from sodium-vapour, mercury-vapour and other low-CRI light sources. Essentially, this is a “light pollution” filter and it can have a dramatic effect on not only nighttime cityscapes, helping to reduce the nasty yellow/orange glow, but even shooting at night further away from a city, where there might be residual skyglow interfering with what would otherwise be a dark and contrasty night sky.
The 100x100mm square filter size will fit into NiSi’s own holder system, as well as others from Lee, Cokin etc. The filter has high quality anti-reflection and water repelling coatings on both sides too.
